Château Mondorion

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The 11 acre vineyard of Château Mondorion lies between Château Pavie and Château Mombousquet. It is owned since 2000 by four friends: Giorgio Cavanna (co-owner of Castello di Ama), Patrick Leon (former winemaker of Château Mouton Rothschild) and his son Bertrand, Philippe Baly (owner of Château Coutet Premières Grand Cru Classé Sauternes ) and mr. Stamm. Like for the Grand Enclos Cérons, father and son Leon are now responsible for making the wine of Château Mondorion. The winery has been renovated completely (infrastructure and vineyards). The new team has a very high quality objective for the wines of Château Mondorion, as if it were to produce a Grand Cru Classé. Trimming of leaves and grass, harvesting ... all done 100% by hand. The terroir is typical Saint-Émilion.
