Krug is one of the few family-run Champagne houses and almost the only Champagne house that ferments all its champagne in small oak barrels. Even long after leaving the cellars Krug champagnes still mature excellent. Over the years, they develop an intensely rich, nut-like flavor that is surprisingly fresh.
